I hope everyone enjoyed todays final session which culminated in the Parents v Children play off’s. After Jonathon’s comprehensive warm up nobody should have any pulled muscles or injuries either.
As I said after the training, It has been another great season, the weather has been kind and it has been good to see so many children gaining confidence and improving their skills and abilities. The club always welcomes new members and we have seen several new faces this year.
Hopefully we will see many of you at the end of season BBQ where there will be a short medal presentation for Most Improved, Coaches Player of the Year and Players player of the year so do please come along. Whether you’re coming or not, can you please email me your nominations for your “players of the year” both girl and boy to email@example.com.
For those moving up to the under 12 age groups, good luck. Its a big change and an even bigger pitch but I’m sure you’re ready for the new challenge and we all wish you great success. I will post information about training days and times for the under 12 age groups once they are confirmed.
The new season starts inline with the school term in September, however watch this blog as I will put up the start date once confirmed. There will be a few coaching changes next year. Both Glyn and Kevin after 4 years of coaching the minis are moving onto other things within the club. On behalf of everyone thank you both for your commitment, energy and enthusiasm. Tom Brixy who has been helping Kevin for some time now will be leading the Under 8’s.
After five years of minis hockey, both of our children will be playing in the Under 12’s next year which is why I am stepping down as the Team Admin manager. Its been a pleasure getting to know the children, the chat amongst the parents is always entertaining, coaches a pleasure to work with and the junior club committee incredibly supportive. I have really enjoyed the role and definitely recommend anyone taking it on in September.
